Water Heater Rebates
FortisBC rebates up to $1000 on water heaters. Get $200 back when you install an Energy Star hot water tank or $1000 back when you install a condensing tankless water heater or condensing storage tank. See our water heaters page for details.
If your home is low income, you may qualify for a rebate of $500 on an Energy Star hot water tank or a $2500 rebate on a condensing tankless water heater or condensing storage tank. Click here for details.
To qualify as low income, your income must be less than $35,800 for a 1 person household, $44,500 for 2 people, $54,700 for 3 people, $66,500 for 4 people, $75,400 for 5 people, $85,000 for 6 people, and $94,700 for 7+ people..
Furnace Rebates
FortisBC rebates up to $1150 on furnaces. Only until Dec. 31st, 2023. Get $800 back when you install a 95-96.9% efficient furnace or a $1000 rebate when you install a 97-99% efficient furnace. Your current furnace must be over 10 years old and not in need of repairs over $1000. Plus get $150 more when you install a qualified “connected” programmable thermostat. Boiler Rebates
FortisBC rebates up to $1500 on boilers. Only until Dec. 31st, 2023. Get $1000 back when you install a 94%+ efficient boiler, or a $1500 rebate when you install a combination boiler to replace your existing boiler and hot water tank (including a $300 two upgrade bonus). Your current boiler must be over 10 years old and not in need of repairs over $1000. See the full terms and conditions here.

Heat Pump Rebates
CleanBC, BC Hydro & Greener Homes Grants up to $11,000 on heat pumps. Get $11,000 back when you install a central heat pump (or a ductless split system with 3 or more heads) with an HSPF (heating seasonal performance factor) of 10 or above, among other requirements. Lesser rebates are available on other heat pumps, such as 2-head ductless split systems.
The CleanBC rebate of up to $3000 is only for homes without a heat pump, not for homes replacing an existing heat pump. BC Hydro is now matching CleanBC heat pump rebates. The $5000 Greener homes grant is available even if you currently have a heat pump.
Low income households and North Shore residents may qualify for additional rebates.
